NEW LYRICS CORNER: Guardians of the Sea

Guardians of the Sea by N.D. Rodriguez (in honor of T.V.)
Copyrights 10/16/10

V1:
She was born on land but she loved the sea.
And more than she loved the sea
She loved Blue Giants. Gentle, illusive, rarely seen.
Up and down the Pacific Coast
Fall into Winter then back down in Spring.
Ancient migration of phenomenal Beings.

V2
Enchanted by their size and intelligent eyes
Warm blood, need for air
Mating, birthing ritual, long lives
Not so different from our ways.
Thousands of years, across space & time
She loved them more than the sea.

Bridge:
Wondrous Giants of the sea
Dance and play to our delight.
Tiny Krill schools, oh feeding frenzies
Blue Giant’s fortified cuisine

Sweep and swirl and churn the teams
Breach the percolating waters
UP UP UP…cavernous chasm mega-gulp!
Slam!!! Waves shudder! Ripple tide...
Stunned awe and wonder
Force of nature, immense grace...
Touch the power, a momentary glimpse
Into ancient mysteries of time space.

CHORUS:
How do you speak to our souls?
How can we not listen?
Reminding us the sea’s health is in our hands…
Oh Great One, please guide us…
Help us get it right, help us get it right.
No more time to waste
We must, we have to for all our sakes.

We cannot fail you, please forgive our past trespasses
Must make it right now…
Gentle Giants, your fate is in our hands.

End Verse:
She was born on land but she loved the see.
And more than she loved the sea
She loved Blue Giants. Gentle Giants.
Enchanted by their size and intelligent eyes
Warm blood, need for air.
Mating, birthing ritual, long lives
Not so different from our ways.
Thousands of years, across space & time…
We cannot dismiss this eternal love that binds. (Repeat)
