TIBETAN BUDDHIST CORNER: Prof. Robert Thurman on Loving Your Enemy...

(Note: This is deep, a few re-reads (for me : ) & a gentle healing after...when you're ready. Eternal Truths are just that way... Namaste'- Ndr)

We are addicted to pleasure, and we thirst for it, while being in denial that we constantly feel dissatisfied with what we get. We are addicted to anger as a means of removing obstacles to our desires, and in following the dictates of our anger, we are driven to self-destruction.

We can now take responsibility for the enemies who torment us, since hurting us is their involuntary reaction to their fear that we will harm them or their subliminal memory of our having hurt them in the evolutionary past.

So not only should we not be angry with them, but we should feel remorse that we affected them so negatively in the past and caused them to live in such pain.

Here we begin to enter the realm of patience as active forgiveness.

Joyfully, ecstatically, we celebrate our initial freedom from fear of suffering by going beyond patience as tolerant endurance and patience as insightful forbearance, to experience patience as nonretaliation and forgiveness.

Such active forgiveness opens the golden door of the exalting temple of universal compassion, which is the amazing realm of realistic happiness and natural bliss.

So our enemies provide us with irritation, injury, and harm, which are the occasions for us to practice endurance, forbearance, and forgiveness.

The worse they treat us, the more we benefit.

WHO DEFINES US CORNER...

To those certain folks who'd rather define you by your "past" struggles, 
during healing & overcoming...

Unable, unwilling to see a true Child Of God & Love that has fully stepped into the Grateful Present, Not defined by a hard past... which is impossible where there is now Light & Love. 


A Light they cannot look into?! A Love that they refuse to let in?!
Is it like Bullying?!...or Mean-Spirited?!...or just Fear?!
 
Wishing them Warm Hearts, Gentle Minds in the Present...
Which is the Gift, the Love...for sharing - Namaste'

How's this for the Bigger Picture? 
Desalination Processing Plants along coastlines of the world:
#1 To bring down Sea levels (and slow down loss of shorelines)
#2 To create Jobs
#3 Get water to People & Drought areas... 
*we spend Billions of Dollars on the War Machine (for Middle East Oil),...
*sending Men to the Moon,..
*Bailing out Wall Street & Scammin Banks...
what will that matter if we're all under water?!? Power & Money... 
so sad the blindness & lack of courage they breed...

POSITIVE THOUGHT CORNER: On prayer and hard feelings...

Discovered an organic cure for the morning blues or
if a sucky day or people bring your heart down...
Make quiet space for Prayer or a Gratitude Meditation...
And something astonishing happens...A Lightness descends upon self...
(after the expletives, ok too... hey, we're human)
Tho' I personally can't carry hard feelings in my Heart...
Can feel them but not hold onto them... in those moments,
its just deep disappointment or sadness...but forgiveness always follows,
So we can all see the lesson...how to be our better selves.
We are just precious mirrors for each other... don't get lost in Life's Dramas.
The Lesson will just keep repeating... ; )

SOUL THOUGHT OF THE DAY...

GOD, ALLAH, YAHWEH, GREATER CREATOR, MOTHER/FATHER GOD, THE DIVINE FEMININE... these very personal "numerous Divine names"... but all, No Greater Healing Love ... does not originate from any human entity...but passes through us only. The Origins of Healing Love?!?... and the capacity to let that Infinite Love in...The closer we get to IT, the closer IT gets to us... ITS Presence never imposed...IT just waits for as little or more We are ready to let in.
